INTRODUCTION to GOSPEL OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
In Ethiopia, there are some 120 prisons and in most of these, in addition to their regular worship programmes, there have been Gospel preaching opportunities and an Annual Conference all conducted under the Chaplaincy Department of Justice for All – Prison Fellowship Ethiopia (JFA-PFE).
Through these spiritual programmes, more than 7,500 prisoners have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. In addition to the above, prayer chains are active in these prisons which are becoming what has been described as crop harvesting places for the kingdom of God. Prisons are becoming the place where people sit down and listen to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and, responding, are born again from God.
